THE OFFICIAL BABY GRAND RULE BOOK
Effective
Date:
January 21, 2003
|
INTRODUCTION:
The rules contained in this manual are drafted with the intent
of providing fair and equitable racing for owners of BABY
GRAND STOCKCARS. The rules and specifications set forth
in this manual shall not be given a strained or tortured interpretation
and shall be applied in a logical manner, keeping in mind that
it can not specifically cover all possible situations. The word
"shall" or "can" (either positive "shall" or "can" negative
"shall not" and "can not") is mandatory. The word may is permissive.
If an item is not covered by these Rules, the Chief Steward
shall make an Official Ruling. These rules are an attempt to
give every individual the chance to be competitive at any BABY
GRAND Event in the nation. These rules are also designed
to develop orderly conduct at racing events, both on and off
the track. No express or implied guarantee of safety will result
from publication of, or compliance with these rules and regulations.
They are intended as a guide for competition, and in no way
rule out the chance for injury, disability, or death to participants,
spectators, or others. It is the responsibility of each participant
to inspect for and determine that his or her individual safety
is not jeopardized during an Event. These rules are subject
to change in whole or in part. Changes may also occur through
special bulletins or upgrades from the factory. The rulebook
or bulletin insert with the latest publication date shall prevail.
Changes go into effect on publication date, not the date that
competitors receive notice. It is the responsibility of the
participant to know, and comply with these rules.
If a Member is unclear on the Rules or content herein,
the Member may send a written request for clarification
to BGSCA by e-mail, fax, or mail to the Sanctioning Body
at the address in Section 1.4. Verbal interpretations will
not be given. After the Sanctioning Body receives your request,
a three-member panel consisting of the two Driver representatives on the Rules Committee and an appointed representative of BGSCA will consider the request. Upon
thorough examination of the Rules and their original intent,
a ruling will be made. This ruling will be mailed to the
requesting Member, the Distributor, the BGSCA Official for
the Region, and to National BGSCA Officials.
The BGSCA Rules contained in this manual shall prevail at
all BGSCA Sanctioned Events. If there is a dispute or disagreement
in interpretation of these rules, the ruling of the BGSCA
Official shall be binding and final.
